Youth League says City Press reports to contrary are lousy, spiteful and mischievous

THE ANC YOUTH LEAGUE IS DISGUSTED BY THE UNETHICAL REPORTING OF CITY PRESS

The ANC Youth League is degusted by the continuation of lousy, spiteful and mischievous reports of the City Press. The City Press' 2nd May 2010 reports about the ANC Youth League are evidently witch-hunting stories, aimed at portraying the ANC Youth League and its leadership as corrupt and only concerned with self-enrichment. There is no truth to that, and the City Press is aware.

On the front page story (see here), Dumisani Lubisi, whom the ANC Youth League previously exposed for shady business dealings, writes about Minutes and issues of the ANC Youth League's Lembede Investment Holdings as if it is investigative Journalism. Dumisani Lubisi stole and misread Minutes and documents of Lembede Investment Holdings from his wife, whom the ANC YL courteously appointed to the Board of Lembede Investment Holdings as part of the people who should oversee its disbandment. Dumisani Lubisi does not realise that stealing confidential information from his wife will compromise her future Career and professional engagements because those who would want to work with her will be reminded of a lousy Journalist husband who steals information and presents it as valid information and investigative Journalism to lousy Newspapers.

Contrary to the pillow-talk Journalism of Dumisani Lubisi and the City Press, the ANC Youth League is not involved in any business dealings. The ANC YL is instead awaiting the finalisation of a report that is systematically unbundling Lembede Investment Holdings. If Dumisani Lubisi had stolen and read all the records and information of Lembede Investment Holdings, he would have discovered from the official records that a due-diligence report has already been presented to the Board of Lembede Investment Holdings and an ad-hoc committee to dispose of all its assets constituted.

In the same Newspaper, another obsessed Journalist called Piet Rampedi writes a story (see here) that deliberately lies about the ANC Youth League's landing of a printing contract in Limpopo. Piet Rampedi, Ferial Hafajjee and the entire City Press editorial is aware that Ali Boshielo is not a member of the ANC Youth League National Executive Committee, but because they want to cast aspersions on the ANC YL, they calculatedly announce him as a member of the ANC YL National Executive Committee. In more than one occasion, Piet Rampedi has been told and he knows very well that Ali Boshielo is not a member of the ANC YL NEC, and information about who members of the ANC Youth League NEC are is easily accessible.

To illustrate that the lousy City Press desperately wanted to link the ANC YL to a printing contract in Limpopo, they did not contact the ANC YL for an official response and reaction to the accusations they wanted to spread. We will continue to expose the crooks and lousy Journalists of the City Press, who have remade the Newspaper in order to continue spreading lies about our organisation. The ANC YL will take all the necessary legal steps to ensure that all sorts of chance-takers and crooks posing as Editors and Journalists are exposed.
