DA Calls on Home Affairs Minister to urgently resolve ID collection issue

The Democratic Alliance has called on Minister of Home Affairs to urgently ensure that the technical issue, whereby attempts to collect identity documents with a fingerprint result in a system offline error, is resolved.

As at 9am today there were no communications from the Department of Home Affairs on this issue on social media platforms or their website.

We call on the Minister to regularly communicate on this issue and ensure its swift resolution.

With the National and Provincial Elections starting on Monday it is absolutely critical that citizens be able to collect their identity documents to vote to Rescue South Africa.
